Welcome!
From a radio career that began in 1972, Don Kettle has been known for his warm, caring, best-friend sound. But don't let it fool you. There have been many times when he has been asked for "raw and edgy" or the often requested and somewhat uncertain "something a little different" and Don has found the way there. It's all about the client, the product, the script and the goal. Working with these four key elements, Don gets to know and understand you and your product/s. On each project, the scipt is carefully analyzed and the goal of that copy to sell to it's target audience is kept in focus.
Don's love of voice work began while still in junior high school, where he participated in any extra-curricular activity that had anything to do with drama, comedy, acting...even announcing and emcee work. At the same time, he got to know a lot of local radio personalities in all facets of the business. A few became his 'mentors', advising and guiding him along the way. Upon receiving his Broadcast Arts Diploma, he undertook the quest to find that elusive first job, even if it was the clichéd "250 watt, daytime only station"...which is what it turned out to be! Since then, Don has worked practically coast to coast in Canada; as far west as Calgary but mainly in Southern Ontario.
In 2010, Don decided to formally expand his skills by enrolling in the Journalism program at the College of the North Atlantic where he is now studying. The program is very rich and one of the ongoing assignments is to Blog; Don will be doing that here. It is hoped the exercise will help improve and build his writing skills.
Still fascinated by the ability of the human voice to stir people and imbued with a love of the work involved to make it do so, Don has moved into the challenging world of voice over. His focus is excellent customer service and satisfaction; to be active within the community of voice over talent; to pursue excellence through continuous learning; and love doing it all!
Don invites you to explore the site and feel free to contact him to discuss your voice over needs.
